About Your Teacher
Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Van Kekerix. This is my twenty-second year of teaching in the Lake Superior School District, and my eleventh year of teaching fifth grade. I have taught first, second, fifth, and sixth grades.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. Most of our time is spent enjoying all of the wonderful lakes, parks, and trails of the beautiful North Shore. We are proud to call the North Shore our home.
I hope to learn more about all of you during the coming year.
I enjoy riding four-wheelers with my family.
I love being outside whenever possible.
Arches National Park in Utah is one of my favorite places to visit.
